WEREWOLVES

Get ready for a thrilling game of trickery and fun in the YURT. Get ready for a thrilling game of trickery  and fun. Games Master Nick Phillips will transport us to the town of Millers Hollow, where werewolves are hunting the villagers, and it’s up to you to locate the culprits before it’s too late. Join us as we immerse ourselves in this interactive survival game and try to weed out the werewolves among us.

The premise is simple but great fun to play: the ‘players’ sit in a circle while host, Nick, with his soft, deep, storytelling voice, introduces the rules. Everyone is handed a card which tells them what role they will play. You keep your card a secret!  You could be an innocent villager, a witch, a seer, cupid and his/her lovers, and more. The prized roles are, of course, the werewolves – who pick off the players one by one. Only the werewolves know who each other is and, as the frantic villagers try to guess which of the players is a werewolf.

Will you become a detective to identify the true villains or will you become their next victim? Come put your deduction skills to the test and find out!

We promise the experience it’s not gruesome like it might sound!

Suitable for everyone – from 8 years old – upwards!

FESTIVAL YURT

The YURT is back for the 2024 Castlemaine Documentary Festival.

So what’s a Yurt ? It’s a portable home that’s been used by nomads for thousands of years which will become our alternative micro-cinema over festival weekend of 14 – 16 June.

It’s a circular structure  resembling a tent and is built using traditional methods and natural materials, seating up to 60 people.

The Yurt will be set up on Western Reserve Castlemaine for the duration of festival weekend – and it’s heated and comfy.

Our return special event in The Yurt is WEREWOLVES  – not a documentary, but an interactive parlour game – just like those popular 100 years ago and great fun to play.  Just 20 people max and perfect for groups of friends and families.

WEREWOLVES comes highly recommended and has played at the Adelaide Fringe since 2018 where it has become a much-loved, sell-out  program fixture,  along with its games-master Nick Philips who knows just how to draw up the right levels of thrill, excitement and laughter. No game is ever the same. And Nick has also built the Yurt!

★★★★★ The Curtain Up Show, “This is brilliant”

★★★★★ Voice Mag UK, “Phillips’ story telling is superb”
