Castlemaine Documentary Festival collects a small amount of information so we can sell tickets, send the newsletter, take film submissions and sign up volunteers. This page explains what we hold and what we do with it.
Who we are
The Festival is run by C-Doc Ltd (ABN 94 630 449 982), a registered charity in Castlemaine, Victoria, trading as Castlemaine Documentary Festival. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean C-Doc Ltd.

What we collect
We only collect what we need to run the festival and the programme around it:
Contact details: Your name and email address when you join the mailing list, write to us, volunteer or ask about a workshop.
Submission details: What you tell us about yourself and your film when you submit, including your postcode so we can confirm you are local.
Website data: Anonymous information about how people use this site, such as which pages get visited.
Cookies: Small files your browser stores so the site works properly.

Send you the newsletter, programme announcements and Club CDoc dates
Answer your message, enquiry or application
Run film submissions, workshops and the volunteer programme
Report attendance to our funders as totals, never as a list of names

We never sell your information. We share it only where we have to:

With our funders as anonymous totals

How long we keep it
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, and only a small number of staff can reach it.
We keep it while you want to hear from us, and for as long as our funding and tax records require. Unsubscribe and we take you off the list.
